Discretionary or Non-Discretionary Investment Management as Agent on Behalf of Trustees
- Revocable Trusts – Strategic Wealth Management Solutions could be named in trust documents to serve as investment manager. For existing documents, we would ordinarily reimburse Clients for nominal attorney's fees associated with re-drafted language such that the grantor, or an independent trustee, would be named in place of any existing trustee also serving as investment manager. Strategic Wealth Management Solutions could then serve as agent on behalf of the trustee and provide investment management for the trust assets.
- Irrevocable Trusts / Cemetery Trusts – Strategic Wealth Management Solutions could be named in trust documents to serve the role of investment manager. For existing documents, we would review the language in order to determine if flexibility exists for our involvement as investment manager while a third-party fiduciary (such as an independent trust company) fulfills the role of trustee.
